at The Inn at Paradise

Born into Amish Families

We count it a privilege to host and manage The Inn at Paradise.

Merv and I (Naomi) were born into Amish families and have lived in Lancaster County most of our lives. Although we do not practice Amish traditions or attend an Amish church, we truly value our Amish heritage. It would be our pleasure to answer your questions about the Amish, the area and local attractions.

At the end of 2015 we found ourselves needing to make a change in our lives. Due to Merv's health issues (Parkinson's w/dementia) he needs my constant care. Managing The Inn has allowed me to care for my husband and enjoy wonderful travelers from around the states and even the world.

During your stay at The Inn you may see Merv tinkering in the garage or working on the grounds. You may also catch a glimpse of Vita, our 12 year old Jack Russell Terrier, or perhaps notice one of our 4 sons stopping by for a visit. Life is celebrated in Paradise and we look forward to your visit!

Convenient Location

Our guest house is located conveniently along Rt 30, a little east of Lancaster. While the bustle of traffic pass the house on the highway, you'll also periodically notice a horse and buggy pass on our private drive (we're happy to allow them to use our drive instead of the major highway, and it might just get you the opportunity to be up close with a real Amish horse and buggy). We also have a rear entrance to the property (off Hershey Ave) - feel free to use that entrance if you'd like.

A Great Home For Small Events or Group Lodging!

Do you need a place to get together for scrapbooking? Or maybe you're having a wedding in the Lancaster area and need a place for family members to spend the night? Our guest house can be a great location for mens groups, ladies groups, weekend retreats, small church retreats, family getaways, and other events. Contact us for your next small event!

Access to Public Transportation

Coming to Lancaster PA on Amtrak and don’t want to rent a car? Enjoy the sights and sounds of Lancaster City then take the public bus ( Red Rose Transit) to The Inn at Paradise. We are located on a main road (Rt. 30) that has public transit with a daily pickup schedule. Uber and Lyft are also available in this area.
